The Walking Dead – Season 7, Episode 4: “Service”
With the fourth episode, we’re finally back to the Alexandria group where they are still recovering from Negan’s punishment a few days later, only to get Negan at their door days early for half of their stuff.
Negan and the Saviors take all the guns, half the food, and a lot of the beds and furniture from the houses. While Rick and others comply completely, others seem to show an inkling of fighting back: Michonne hides out to practice shooting and attempts to keep a gun, Carl pulls a gun on one of the Saviors for taking too much medication, and Rosita finds a gun off a Walker, taking an empty shell to Eugene and asking him to make her a bullet.
Direction and cinematography
of the episode were stunning. One of the best episode so far—the shots of Michonne in the field were incredible. And I liked the pace of the episode, even
is starting to irritate me. I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan and he’s doing a fantastic job, but if I hear him say, “Oh, wait…” or another one of his terrible cartoonish jokes and phrases, I’ll lose it. It’s how he’s being written that’s the problem. He’s just not working anymore as a character and its only been four episodes. They need to move past this persona of his and get to something real before I lose interest in him as a character and a villain all together.
